Column By: STEPHEN DURHAM / RPW – OSWEGO, NY – Mother Nature has been on our side all week long, with superb weather all week long. The week will wrap up on a high note with the weather as well to cap the 49th annual Super Dirt Week!
Sunday morning will start off with temperatures in the mid to upper 50s, as winds overnight out of the southerly direction kept temperatures on the warmer side. Temperatures will be on the rise through morning once more into the upper 60s by the time green flag racing gets set to hit the Clay Palace.
The day will feature a mix of clouds and sun once again, similar to conditions seen yesterday. We could see a bit more sunshine as we get into this afternoon. With any sunshine, temperatures will get warmer into the lower to mid 70s. Winds during the day will be persistent out of the southeast at 5 to 15 mph, keeping temperatures on the warmer side, but will feel nice.
As we get to show time for the Billy Whittaker 200 this afternoon, temperatures will likely be right around the 70 degree mark, and have a better chance at more sunshine as we head through the afternoon.
There is a slight chance of a shower once more late in the evening, but chances seem minimum. Temperatures will be cooling through the later afternoon hours and into the evening back down into the 60s. Breezy conditions will remain into the evening as well, staying out of the southeast as well.
Hope everybody has fantastic Sunday and enjoy all the action!
